From October 15th to 19th, the Institute of Creativity and Innovation (ICI) admissions delegate joined Xiamen University’s (XMU) admissions delegation and took part in the 2nd Mongolia HSK Study in China Education Expo held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and the 10th Japan HSK Study in China Education & Career Expo held in Tokyo, Japan. The delegation introduced XMU’s degree programs to local Chinese learners and secondary schools, in a bid to promote the institute's degree programs to local Chinese learners and high schools, and expand high-quality international student sources.
The two exhibition fairs attracted over 8,000 prospective students, parents and school representatives. The delegation gave a comprehensive introduction to XMU’s educational characteristics, academic strengths, and program offerings, providing detailed answers to students' most concerned questions about application qualifications, accommodation, scholarships, etc. They conducted intention registration and invited hundreds of interested students to join a WeChat group, facilitating online Q&A for prospective applicants later on.

Representatives of XMU alumni in Mongolia and Japan also joined the admissions team at the events, rendering valuable support for XMU’s international admissions by sharing their unique perspectives with the attendees.
For students with some basics or a strong interest in art and design, ICI admission official provided detailed explanations using promotional materials and videos. During this trip, the admissions team also established connections with a number of local secondary schools and educational institutions, conducted survey on the characteristics of prospective student sources in the area, and obtained first-hand information on the international education fields of both countries, including student preferences, their paths to higher education, etc.
It is reported that since its first launch in Japan a decade ago, HSK Study in China Education Expo has now expanded to more than 40 countries, becoming an important platform for boosting study opportunities in China and nurturing Chinese language talents. These two expos have not only provided Mongolian and Japanese students with direct access to top-tier Chinese universities but also significantly boosted XMU’s global visibility and strengthened its efforts to attract high-quality international applicants, laying a solid foundation for the further internationalization of ICI’s programs.
